Dispensary demos that move product

Brand ambassadors for in‑store cannabis demos: budtender education, shopper conversations at the counter and a count of what sold. No sampling and no health claims, planned around each state’s rules.

Every number below comes from a report written by the ambassador who worked the shift, as of August 18, 2026. We keep brand names off our results.

Dispensary demos for a cannabis brand

A California cannabis brand, in dispensaries across the state, August 2024 to April 2026.

The job was to introduce a California cannabis brand to shoppers at the dispensary counter. Our ambassadors ran 327 in‑store demos, talking with shoppers and helping them choose.

50.4

7,295
units sold during the shift
22.8
units sold per demo

From 328 shift reports. Units sold come from the 320 that logged units, and units per 100 shoppers from the 319 that logged both units and the shoppers our ambassadors talked to.

A year of dispensary demos across one state, with the same 24 ambassadors

A cannabis brand in Missouri dispensaries, June 2025 to August 2026.

The job was steady presence at the counter across a whole state. We ran 568 demos at 248 dispensaries in 45 cities, and the same 24 ambassadors worked all of them.

What a shift includes

  • Budtender education before the doors open
  • Display, menu and pricing check at each stop
  • Shopper conversations at the counter, no sampling and no health claims
  • A report per demo: shoppers talked to, units sold, price, photos
  • The same ambassadors in the same stores, so budtenders get to know them

Common questions

Do you sample cannabis?
No. Sampling is not allowed, so our demos are education: the ambassador talks with shoppers and budtenders, answers questions and points to the product on the menu. Sales are counted at the register during the demo.
Which states do you work in?
California, Colorado, Missouri, Michigan and New York so far. Each program is planned around that state’s rules.
What does a demo sell?
It depends on the brand and the store. On one California program, 22.8 units sold per demo. On a Missouri program, 94% of the demos that logged sales closed at least one.
Who are the ambassadors?
Regulars who know dispensaries and the category. On one state program the same 24 people worked all 568 demos, so budtenders got to know them.
Do you handle events too?
Yes: customer appreciation days, dispensary parties, sponsorships and concerts, with the same reporting.
How is pricing set?
Every program gets its own quote. Rates are hourly, per person, and depend on the market, the dates and the size of the team.
